Amy Minchin:

2011 NAISDA Graduate Amy Minchin was born and raised in Canberra. During her time at NAISDA, Amy performed in shows such as 'Beneath the Ancestors' (2009) and 'Wildfire' (2010). She has worked alongside many teachers and choreographers, including Graeme Watson, Frances Rings, Gail Mabo, Vicki Van Hout, Bernadette Walong, Deon Hastie, Fiona Malone, Kay Armstrong, Tammi Gissell, Jasmine Gulash, Jo Clancy and Kim Walker.

In 2010 Amy was selected to participate in a 5 day residency with Bangarra Dance Theatre, where she participated in Company class, learnt repertoire and was inspired by Company members. She was also chosen to dance for Christine Anu at the 2010 Deadly awards, held at the Sydney Opera House.

In 2012 Amy had the opportunity to work with Kay Armstrong and the YouMove Dance Company in the 2012 Sydney Festival. She was also apart of Jo Clancy's Dragonfly production in early March. Amy has been on Move it Mob Style and has worked with Vibe Alive as a performer and mentor.

After returning to Canberra, Amy worked with local community based dance school, Kulture Break for 12 months, inspiring and motivating the youth of today through dance. She is particularly passionate about inspiring Indigenous and Non-Indigenous youth to fulfill their dreams.
